Welcome to the Town of Auburn Online Permit Tracking System. To use this webpage, enter the Address for your property and click GO. The system will return the status of any current permits and applications for your address and provide links for new permit applications.
Contractors must be registered with the Town’s Online Permit Tracking System before they can apply for Building, Electrical, Gas, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal permits online. Once registered, contractors will be provided with a private PIN they can use to apply for permits online as long as their licenses and insurances are kept current in our database. If you do not have a pin or are unsure, please email the department at email@example.com> to inquire. Please include your full name, all license numbers, email and phone number. If you are already registered and your information is up to date, we will respond with your pin number so you can proceed. If further information is required to complete the registration process we will inform you of what must be submitted. Please note: All licenses and insurances must be current. Any that are not will require current copies to be submitted before your permit will be approved.
New registrants must provide the following documentation:
- A valid and current driver’s license or other form of Photo ID
- Contractor license
- Workers Compensation Insurance Certificate and a completed Workers Compensation Affidavit
- Liability Insurance Certificate
- Department of Public Safety "S" License (Electrical Contractors conducting Security work only)
Property Owners and Contractors that provide their email addresses as part of Building Permit applications will benefit from email notifications regarding the application review process. Such notifications can streamline communication between the patron and town staff, resulting in a more efficient permitting process.
